At Washington Commercial Painters “Do the right thing” is more than just a slogan—it’s a core value that determines how we run our business. That is especially true when it comes to sustainability. We invest in green technologies that help us do our job more efficiently while minimizing the impact on the environment. From water purification systems that clean our equipment to the use of electric vehicles and low VOC paints, our focus on the environment also helps our clients achieve a sustainable future.
To ensure sustainability, we:
• Give our excess paint away to the community to reuse and recycle
• Print on LEED and green materials, like DreamScapes, that contains 31% post-consumer recycled content
• Installed an Axzo Nobel filter system to reduce environmental impact during equipment cleaning
• Use zero or low VOC paints where possible and use sustainable practices on all jobs
• Deploy electric and smaller vehicles that reduce emission and increase gas mileage
• Commission carbon footprint analysis to guide our strategies to reduce our corporate footprint
• Use SharePoint™ to facilitate a paperless environment
We are a proud member of The U.S. Green Building Council AND have installed millions of square feet of cool roofs and other energy saving coatings from coast to coast, helping reduce America’s carbon footprint.
